Values we believe in. At the Kampong Social Club, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our members. In order to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere, we ask that all members adhere to the following code of conduct.
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated at the Kampong Social Club. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of workshops, masterclasses or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Members who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the club with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the Kampong Social Club's organizational team.
We understand that there can be a wide range of financial circumstances among our members, and we ask that everyone be respectful and understanding of one another. Money-shaming, or treating someone differently based on their financial situation, is not acceptable at the Kampong Social Club. This includes, but is not limited to, making someone feel bad for being able to afford something that you cannot, or treating someone with less respect because of their financial situation.
We expect all members to treat one another with respect and kindness. This includes being considerate of others' feelings, opinions, and boundaries. Disrespectful or aggressive behavior, including but not limited to bullying, insulting, or belittling others, is not acceptable at the Kampong Social Club.
The Kampong Social Club encourages members to enjoy themselves and have fun, but we also ask that everyone do so responsibly. The use of alcohol and other substances should never interfere with your ability to follow the code of conduct or to participate in club activities safely and respectfully.
The Kampong Social Club is subject to a variety of rules and regulations, including but not limited to those related to health and safety, fire codes, and local laws. We expect all members to comply with these rules and regulations at all times while participating in club activities. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
At the Kampong Social Club, we are committed to being environmentally responsible and to protecting the planet for future generations. We ask that all members be mindful of their impact on the environment and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint, conserve resources, and reduce waste.
The Kampong Social Club is a diverse community, and we welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life. We expect all members to be open-minded and accepting of others, regardless of their personal characteristics or beliefs. We also ask that all members respect the right of others to express their own opinions, even if they differ from your own.
While we encourage members to be politically engaged and informed, we ask that all discussions and debates at the Kampong Social Club remain non-partisan. This means avoiding the promotion of any specific political party or ideology, and instead focusing on open-minded, respectful dialogue and debate. We also ask that all members respect the right of others to have different political beliefs, and avoid making assumptions about others based on their political views.
The Kampong Social Club values the privacy and confidentiality of its members. We ask that all members respect the confidentiality of any personal or sensitive information that they may become aware of through their involvement in the club. This includes, but is not limited to, information shared during discussions, workshops, or other club activities. Any information shared within the club should be treated with care and discretion.
We expect all members to communicate openly and honestly with one another, and to work together to resolve any conflicts or disagreements that may arise. If a conflict arises, we ask that all members take the time to listen to one another, express their feelings and concerns, and work together to find a resolution that is fair and satisfactory to all parties involved. If necessary, members may seek assistance from a member of the Kampong Social Club's organizational team in resolving a conflict.
We expect all members to follow this code of conduct at all Kampong Social Club gatherings, events, and activities, including workshops, masterclasses, trips, and workations. By adhering to this code, we can create a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
